Roles and Responsibilities:
****Work location is Gilbert AZ NOT Orlando, FL. 1444 W. Scott Avenue Gilbert, AZ 85233****

The individual will
• work on site full time,
• perform depot level repairs, modifications, refurbishments of specific components of the Modernized Target Designation Sight/Pilotage Night Vision System (M-TADS/PNVS),
• perform solder to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721 standards,
• perform electrical rework/repair of cable harnesses, electrical wires, and circuit card assemblies,
• operate automated or general-purpose test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, network analyzers and waveform generators) and uses knowledge of basic AC/DC theory to read, interpret engineering drawings and schematics to conduct fault isolation of faulty components,
• complete work in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, Repair Component Procedures (RCPs), Field Advisory Bulletins (FABs), and Contactor Installation Procedures (CIPs),
• document work in automated maintenance data collection systems IAW Apache Fire Control processes and procedures, and
• performs test and checkout of mechanical, electrical, structural, hydraulic subsystems and complete systems.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Minimum HS Diploma / GED
Required Skills/Experience:
• 3+ years experience with INDUSTRY SOLDERING - Experience with soldering surface mount (SMT) and through hole components to PWBs
• Trained in IPC specification J-STD-001.
• Experience with microscopes
• Able to identify and touch up poor wetted solder joints, solder voids / insufficient solder, solder shorts/ bridges, misaligned parts / leads, components and any out solder defects that may occur during the SMT operation.
• Ability to perform electrical measurements and analysis using (Multimeters, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzers, network analyzers and waveform generators)
• 3+ years experience with safety wire assemblies and connectors
• 3+ years experience with solder and repair cables and harnesses
• 3+ years experience with of Microsoft Office suite of programs
• Must be able to read instructions and identify standard SMT components.
• High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional technical training sufficient to perform preventive and demand maintenance tasks and minimum of 1 Year of experience.
• Ability to understand schematics, generate rework instructions, diagnose faults and troubleshoot
• Ability to lift 35 pounds.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements
• Ability to understand policies and procedures for the control of Government property
• Ability to work with hazardous materials
• Ability to mix and weigh chemicals
Desired Skills:
• Solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721
