Description

The I&E Project Lead will oversee instrumentation and electrical controls for capital project installations. They will also serve as the point of contact for engineering, contractors, fabricators, and vendors for electrical, instrumentation and controls. Must be a Safety Leader and drive company core values.

Responsibilities may include:

• Supports the local safety program and leads/participates in JSA’s, After Action Reviews and Learning Teams
• Reports Near Misses and performs Life Saving Rule Verifications (LSRV)
• Supervise contract I&E crews to coordinate electrical, instrumentation and controls installation per the engineering work pack
• Involved in maintaining and applying Company specifications and design criteria
• Ensures consistency of design with Eagle Ford I&E Project Quality Standards
• Involved in applying industry recognized standards
• Participates in P&ID and other instrument and control drawing reviews
• Assists in factory acceptance testing and field inspections
• Responsible for performing and documenting Loop Checks, Function Check Out, Commissioning/C&E and PSSR’s prior to startup of new facilities
• Supports the Project’s Capital Program / Cost Controls by tracking / reporting daily costs
• Ensures changes are approved and documented by engineering as part of handover to Operations
• Participates on start-up team
• Participates in process hazard analysis and safeguard evaluations
• Orientated toward continuous process improvement

• Works well with other disciplines to safely and efficiently complete projects on time and on budget

Basic/Required:

• 5+ years of electrical, instrumentation and controls experience within the Oil and Gas industry
• 2+ years of leading I&E construction crews onshore
• Intermediate level of technical knowledge and training to configure/commission HMI’s, PLC/RTU’s, instrumentation and electrical equipment
• Willing and able to perform/align with the following (with or without reasonable accommodation):
o Climb various ladders and stairs ranging in heights up to 50 feet to perform maintenance on equipment
o Lift and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds
o Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material daily on even and uneven terrain
o Work outside in temperature extremes or adverse weather conditions
• Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to travel 10% of the time on a yearly basis
• Current/valid driver's license
Preferred:
• 10+ years of Oil and Gas SCADA, Automation Controls & software
• 10+ years of liquid and gas measurement experience
• 5+ years of Fisher 107/827 RTU’s and Allen Bradley PLC experience
• 2 Year Instrumentation/Electrical Degree
• Industry Instrument Certifications
• Technical knowledge/trained in troubleshooting instrument and electrical equipment
• Master Electrician license in Texas
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Good written, oral, and computer skills

Education: HS Diploma or Equiv required with a minimum of 10 years’ experience working in field; Master Electrician in Texas preferred

Work Schedule: 5-50 Schedule (10 Hr Days) - 5 days on / 2 days off

Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $78.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
