Description

Work Schedule & Hours/Days: Monday through Friday. 9:30pm to 6:00am with overtime

Receive, move, locate & pick/kit raw materials for production and finished goods for sales orders in support of the production process

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Works with some direction from Supervisor or Lead

• Ability to follow and take direction

• Must be able to multi-task

• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned

• Capable of navigating the computer for the basic functions (Email/AX/HR Forms/Reviews)

• Thoroughly understands and complies with all safety processes, requirements and process SOP’s

• Proper handling of Hazardous Material

• Follows DOT hazardous material procedures in accordance with training

• Maintains a 5-S work environment

• Demonstrates time management skills/capable of completing assigned tasks in a timely manner

• Demonstrates a willingness to work overtime/stay later in support of customer and production demands

• Demonstrates the ability to process internal customer requests in a timely manner with guidance and direction

• Operate forklift safely and efficiently (regular sit down and aisle master models)

• Capable of operating other job equipment/tools (scale/Lantech wrappers/banding equipment/dock equipment/barrel grabber attachment) safely and efficiently

• Understands the layout of the warehouse and where materials are stored

• Familiar with the different materials/containers (raw materials/solids/liquids/finished goods)

• Processes FG’s for storage accurately and efficiently (wrap/verify/locate product)

• Capable of loading/unloading trailers safely and efficiently

• Capable of picking materials for sales orders accurately

• Capable of prepping/staging outbound sales orders for shipment

• Capable of loading outbound sales orders for shipment with guidance (loading patterns/blocking & bracing/semi-trailer or rail/intermodal shipments)

• Capable of performing the production support position (empty pallet, tote & drum removal) safely/efficiently

• Performs inventory and shipment audit checks for materials accurately and efficiently

• At least 1-2 years’ prior applicable experience

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• One to two years’ experience in a fast-paced shipping/warehousing operation

• One to two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment desired

• Prior knowledge of chemicals and hazmat handling a plus

• Must possess a high school education or equivalent and pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical; must be at least 18 years

• Must be safety orientated at all times, prior forklift experience desired/is a plus

• Must possess strong attention to detail, positive attitude, teamwork and adaptability

• Must possess the ability to accurately follow instructions, good verbal and written communication skills and be detail orientated.

• Must possess basic math skills and be able to read, write and comprehend instructions in English

• Must follow work rules, work independently, be flexible and be willing to perform a variety of jobs.

• Must possess the ability to multi-task

• Must be able to pass respirator fit test and medical evaluation

• Must be clean shaven to meet work requirements

• Ability to work on your feet / sit on forklift for prolonged periods of time

• Regularly walks, climbs, stoops, kneels, bends, crouches and crawls

• Ability to use hands and arms to lift and reach overhead, carry, grasp, push and pull

• Ability to hear at normal speaking levels

• Required to have visual acuity to regularly utilize close vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision to operate forklift

• Regularly required to do repetitive motions

• Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. repetitively during the course of work shift

• Subject to internal environmental hazards, including a variety of physical conditions and proximity to moving mechanical parts and atmospheric conditions that may affect the respiratory system

• Must be able to operate a computer, computer accessories and phone

• Ability to operate a forklift

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Please Note:

Must have a valid driver’s license and current state requires minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
