Schedule:
Workhours – 5/80
• Overtime required as needed.
WORK SCHEDULE: 1st shift 6 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
• One year contract with opportunity for extension based on job performance, business needs, etc.

Scope:
The main function of a Packaging Operator is to monitor and stock packaging equipment while actively working toward meeting daily safety, quality, and cost metrics., reset and clear equipment faults, stock packaging line(s) with components, take inventory of components, maintain housekeeping standards, and participate in actions reducing downtime and quality issues, as well as increasing output. Packaging operator will also be required to cross-train in multiple production areas.

Job duties:
• Monitor packaging equipment for equipment faults and quality issues
• Reset and clear equipment faults
• Stock packaging lines with components
• Take inventory of packaging components daily and monthly
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Keep records on daily equipment performance tracking quality and delivery metrics.
• Examine and inspect equipment and components for wear or defects, reporting any damage to lead operator and/or supervisor
• Participate in problem solving groups to reduce safety/quality issues and increase output
• Provide support to other production areas, as needed
• Maintain housekeeping per 5S standards
• Demonstrate strong sense of urgency

Requirements:
• 0-1 year of manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving ability
• Basic mathematical skills
• Team player with great attitude
• Detail oriented

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED (REQUIRED)


Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $18-20 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Please Note:
Must have a valid driver’s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
