The Accountant provides expertise in performing a variety of complex accounting activities for the financial statements including the balance sheet, statement of retained earnings, income statement and statement of cash flows. Ensures the integrity of the accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.

Job Core Responsibilities
• Classifies, examines, and analyzes accounting records and prepares related financial reports and statements
• Maintains general ledger and generates monthly financial statements
• Participates in the monthly close process by generating various journal entries, preparing required reconciliations, and analytically reviewing specific general ledger accounts for accuracy and proper valuation
• Maintains facility fixed asset records including property tax supporting documentation
• Collects tax information and prepares sales tax returns
• Performs annual company internal audits for finance and accounting
• Other responsibilities as assigned
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Education: Must have an accounting degree and work experience in a manufacturing environment.

Certifications
Years Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience
Skills

Skills Needed: SAP Experience a MUST, STRONG Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups)
Reconciliation, Monthly close, Balance Sheets, Costing experience a plus but not a must.

• Thorough understanding of standard accounting concepts, practices and procedures
• Experience in auditing or credentials, and proficient with Microsoft Office applications and database management tools
• Knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and financial analysis acquired through related work experience
• Strong analytical and independent problem solving skills to evaluate financial results, projections and data mining
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explains complex information to others in straightforward situations; excellent interpersonal skills to drive task to completion

Must have a valid driver’s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.

Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $48.00  per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
