Contract Term:
1.5 years with possibility of extension

Job Duties:
The primary purpose of this position is to supplement existing Information Management (IM) team capacity to progress value associated to quality (consistent, correct, complete) data processing for the project.
The top accountabilities of this role:
1) Support the delivery of Data Control Service for the Project Execute phase
2) Ensure the adherence to the clients Project and Venture specifications and procedures as they pertain to the Company and Contractor(s) data centric delivery; and
3) Enable more value through continuous improvement, process simplification and quality assurance of design tag and asset data
4) Driving improvements within Data Control and broader IM scope through leadership, standards, behaviors, and innovation using IM solutions (Aveva Asset Information Management, Digital Twin, SmartPlant design tools including SPI, SPP&ID, SPEL, S3D); and
5) Support the clients delivery strategy in Construction and Handover to Operations

Responsibilities:
1) Support the the clients Data Control Lead in day to day operations of data processing
2) Project Data focal and representative to support Construction, Engineering, Quality and HSSE
3) Monthly processing of over 270k design tags and 40k asset data. Supporting the quarterly processing SmartPlant tools database handover
4) Learning mindset to continuously improve, optimize, and simplify data control activities and services across multiple locations, and multiple projects within the client
5) Working and communicating effectively in a highly virtualized environment in a geographically diverse and multicultural team
6) Mentoring various disciplines on the Capital Project to ensure they follow the information specifications and the standards for data management
7) Work in a fast moving, rapidly changing and dynamic environment of a mega flagship Capital Project
8) Help champion the successful use of the clients digital IM solutions to enable effective and efficient data management and control

Requirements:

1) Technical and Business Skills:F
a. Substantial experience in Information Management in Capital Projects; previous experience as Data Controller is preferred;
b. Substantial experience as Data Controller or Data Specialist in a capital project is required
c. Experience working with Aveva Asset Information Management and MS SQL Server as engineering data warehouse would be an asset
d. Working experience with Kongsberg Digital Twin, SmartPlant design tools (SPI, SPP&ID, SPEL, S3D), Navisworks, Universal Plant Viewer, iHawk, Sharepoint, Procon and Power BI
e. Breadth and depth in knowledge of cross-discipline engineering data (requirements and use cases) covering design tags, asset/equipment, model, relationships to documents, deliverables from Engineering design tools
f. Prior experience of working on Shell capital project or operating asset in similar role as part of the owner operator team is a differentiator

2) Education and Work History
a. A university degree in Engineering, Science or Information Technology or equivalent
b. 5+ years experience working on a Major Capital project or Asset in an IM related roles
3) Leadership and Interpersonal Skills
a. Willingness to take ownership and motivate team to deliver results combined with willingness to perform hands-on work
b. Provide support to Project Data Control Lead on various initiatives including but not limited to data scraping tool configuration and testing, gap analysis/data attribute audit, process improvement and communication to stakeholders
c. Strong attention to details and good time management skills
d. Experience working with a geographically diverse team
e. A high degree of skill in written and oral communications
f. Strong influencing skills, including virtually
g. Ability to work flex hours to accommodate various locations

Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $45-55 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
