Responsibilities:
• Support the Quality Control Seed Health lab by performing standardized processes and quality control testing.
• Perform standardized procedures for detection and quantification of bacteria, viruses, and fungi in vegetable seeds
• Read and understand work instructions and procedures
• Apply aseptic technique and defined hygiene procedures to ensure quality and containment of plant pathogens
• Accurately record and enter test results
• Perform repetitive work while maintaining focus on detail and quality
• Recognize and report deviations from standard procedures? Learn and follow safety procedures
• Contribute to enhancing safety culture
• Contribute to miscellaneous lab improvement projects
• Apply basic laboratory and math skills

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s in Science
Requirements:
• 1-2 years of experience as a Lab Technician
• Handling of quarantine plant pathogens in a restricted facility
• Laboratory work, including growth room/chamber
Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $23 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
Must have a valid driver’s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
