Description

The Senior Design Engineer will develop and test downhole completion tool products per industry standards. The requirements of the Senior Design Engineer position will include Conducting mathematical modelling to determine if proposed designs are technically feasible Performing the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototypes. Project planning and project management May also be involved with designing product specific manufacturing production processes and equipment. The position will report to the US Completion Tools Engineering Manager and be located at 8017 Breen Rd, Houston Texas.

Roles and Responsibilities:

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design downhole completion tools using SolidWorks drafting software

- Conduct testing of prototype products

- Assist with sustaining existing products

- Perform design calculations and layouts

- Utilize PDM software

- Answer technical queries about products

- Assist with manufacturing engineering aspects related to products.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

***EDUCATION REQUIRED - BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN ENGINEERING***

TOP SKILLS REQUIRED:

- TEAM PLAYER

- DOWNHOLE TOOL EXPERIENCE (MUST BE SHOWN ON RESUME)

- PREVIOUS PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE (MUST BE SHOWN ON RESUME)

- GREAT PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY

MANAGER WILL BE CONDUCTING ALL INTERVIEWS IN-PERSON.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum four-year Bachelors Engineering degree is required. Prefer the degree is from an ABET accredited University. Mechanical Engineering Degree is preferred.

- 10-15 years of relevant design experience is required

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Experience with hands on assembly and testing of downhole tools is preferred.

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

- Applicant should be able to function well in a team setting.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

- SolidWorks drafting software experience is desired but not required if the applicant has proficiency with other 3D modeling software

- FEA experience is desired but not required

- PDM software experience

- Teamcenter or other engineering database software experience is desired but not required.

- Ability to perform hand calculations and free body diagrams is required.

- Experience with project management is required.

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay Range:

The Salary range for this position is $100K-140K; however, the salary offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Must have a valid driver’s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
