Designs major components, or major portions of a functional system, or technically advanced prototype, promotional or specific products. Develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develops basic data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposal. Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replace ability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost. Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development. Makes layouts of assemblies and details parts of devices, mechanisms, structures, and products. Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning. Identifies design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Level 2: BS+4-8 YRS or MS+2-6 YRS
3D Models: 4 - 6 Years
Computer Aided Design (CAD): 4 - 6 Years
Drafting: 4 - 6 Years
PDM Specialist: 4 - 6 Years
CREO: 4 - 6 Years
Knowledge of Mechanical Technology: 4 - 6 Years
Mechanical and Electrical engineering: 4 - 6 Years
Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $39.00-53.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
Please Note:
Must have a valid driver’s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
