Description

Responsibilities:

  • Learn all standard hydrometallurgical and solid liquid separation techniques and procedures.
  • Maintain/repair lab equipment.
  • Ensure that ISO requirements are met for each instrument and procedure.

  • Lab Administration
  • Track hydrometallurgical analysis.
  • Track solid liquid separation analysis.
  • Perform testing for customer related projects.
  • Prepare samples per customer requests.
  • Prepare laboratory QC solutions, diluents, and standards. Ensure that samples meet specifications.
  • Maintain equipment.
  • Log and report results of all testing
  • Profile Analysis
  • Perform analysis on plant profile samples.
  • Log and report results to Technical Sales group
  • Comprehensive Technical Service Program
  • Update database
  • Sample tracking
  • Results tracking
  • Write/Revise standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Deal Directly with Sales Team and perform any analyses requested.
  • Fulfill sample requests from customers, requests range from unique blends to neat reagent.
  • Responsible for performing unique plant specific analysis.
  • Regulatory Support
  • Operate as a competent RCRA hazardous waste employee.
  • Understands that safety and Environmental responsibility is a major part of our principles. Must report all unsafe conditions and accidents immediately to appropriate manager. Assure standards of safety, environmental, team and individual performance are met in a high-performance team based organization.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

B.S. degree in chemistry/metallurgy/mining engineering or other related discipline

Requirements:

This is an entry level position, someone recently graduated with degree in Chemistry, Mining Engineering, or a related field, or relevant work experience.

  • Practical knowledge of Atomic Absorption
  • Knowledge of standard laboratory techniques
  • Proficient computer skills – specifically Microsoft Excel

Must have a valid driver’s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $30.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
