Under general supervision, assists in analysis, modification and design of products and services for assigned projects which requires working knowledge of materials, components, and their applications. Prepares design calculations and specifications. Develops test procedures, conducts tests and completes test result analysis for assigned projects. Assists in handling field and manufacturing problems to maintain and improve products and services. Incorporates Reliability, HSE and Quality analysis techniques during the design process.
Position Type: Contract (4 months) with potential for permanent conversion
Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8am – 5pm
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assesses existing technologies in manufacturing and suggests improvements.
Provides engineered technical solutions to help manufacturing plants achieve improvement objectives.
Utilizes engineering tools such as Solidworks-3D modeling, 3D printing, FMEA, and FEA to design, test and implement efficiencies in manufacturing, assembly and testing.
Utilizes Robots, 3D printing, PLCs, wireless technologies, automation, Python and data analytic tools to implement efficiencies in manufacturing, assembly and testing.
Collaborates across manufacturing plants to help the broader engineering team achieve objectives through mentoring and best practice sharing.
Education: Completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering required. Minimum of 2 years of experience. A Masters degree in Engineering preferred. Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred.
Pay Range:
The pay rate for this position is $45 - $60 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
