Description

Experienced Aircraft Mechanical Test Engineer Responsible for specific discrete tasks covering all aspects of ground testing helicopter components and systems.

Roles and Responsibilities

Requires application of all Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering disciplines to a wide variety of technical problems. Main tasks include support and management of bench testing including support of supplier testing as well as in-house component laboratory tests to validate component designs; writing and reviewing technical documents for development and qualification requirements, procedures and test results; and review of supplier qualification plans, procedures, reports and drawings. 5 years minimum experience with component bench testing is a plus, as is background with qualification to MIL-STD-810 and RTCA-DO-160 requirements. Tasks include detailed test planning, coordination with internal and external customers, test conduct, use of computer data analysis tools, and generation of test plans and reports. Ground Test Engineers are responsible for final conclusions and recommendations on the performance, safety, qualification, and adequacy of tested components and systems.

This process may involve test and evaluation of components, assemblies and systems including main and tail rotor dynamic components, rotor drive systems, flight control systems, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and mission equipment. Tasks also include the development and implementation of test procedures used to validate proper installation of aircraft systems and components during final assembly, and supporting and establishing operating limitations for both flight test programs and fielded aircraft.

Level 3: BS+9-15 YRS or MS+7-13 YRS

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $60.00-75.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Must have a valid driver’s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
