About the Role
Reporting to the CSU Lead process, the Commissioning Engineer is responsible to assure safe and reliable execution of Commissioning tasks by contractor. To succeed with us in Commissioning team, we need your passion and care: • For safety and quality in execution and having the skills and courage to become the Safest Project on Earth and Zero Defects • To be a positive, and open minded person with a ‘can-do’ attitude • Demonstrate personal commitment to HSSE • Display a strong positive attitude to manage change and improvement in our processes, ways of working and our overall performance • Develop strong working relationships with your team, stakeholders to boost cooperation and a One Team approach • Use your ability to utilize flexible thinking with well-developed problem-solving skills You will use your expertise to: • Conduct inspection and verification tasks on Commissioning tasks conducted by (sub)contractor like pipe cleaning, solo runs and loop testing • Support the team by coordinating and providing construction (e.g. vessel internals outfitting) and pre-commissioning (e.g. cleanliness verification) assurance connected to selected A,B and C check sheets • Lead by example by demonstrating excellent HSSE compliance behaviours and ensure MOC process is followed in case of an exception or deviation • Instil a high safety awareness culture in the shift staff by ensuring the use of the HSSE case, up-to-date isolation records, override registers, PTW compliance, valve locks compliance and job safety analysis etc. • Verify that operational tools and equipment such as field tools, handheld devices, radios, PPEs etc. for EPC commissioing team are fit for service at all times • Conduct field surveillance and Safety/Commissioing walkdowns To be successful, you will have: • At least 5+ years experience in Commissionning phase of a mega-project • Commissioning experience in a module fabrication yard or exposure to construction assurance will be an added advantage • Previous experience in similar role, especially in LNG or large scale refinery/manufacturing complex will be advantageous • Excellent understanding of reading P&ID’s, Isometrics and other technical drawings • Good English language skills, verbal and reading • Excellent communication skills, to enable the development of productive and 3 lasting relations • Ability to keep calm under pressure, with an attitude for troubleshooting issues This role requires that you: Work Location: Canada, Kitimat Work Schedule: 50 hrs/week, some shift work will be required during periods of high activity such as leak or loop testing. Know that this is a 6 months contractor role, with the potential option of an extension of another 6 months
Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $100-116 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
