Description

The successful candidate must be self-motivated, work independently with little
work direction, quickly adapt to changing priorities, and display strong customer
service skills. This position also requires the ability to discreetly and routinely
handle confidential information. Business knowledge and/or experience working
with Maximo/Track/SAP/Workday are highly desirable.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to;
· Functions as a knowledgeable resource on payroll policy and
procedures. Primary point of contact for employees and managers
questions with regards to time/pay policies and guidelines.
· Provides detailed counsel on routine as well as complex time coding
and pay situations.
· Consults on payroll policy as it relates to company policy and the union
contract. Investigates and solves various problems involving incorrect
checks, taxes, garnishments, electronic fund transfers, etc.
· Collects, balances and audits accuracy of payroll input data. Runs
time approval and pay reports.
· Performs pre/post pay close audits and make necessary corrections to
timesheets to align with company policy and union contract. Advises
supervisors and timekeepers where improper coding has been used.
· Trains and educates supervisors on proper payroll coding, procedures,
and practices to ensure highest payroll quality.
· Processes total remunerations for employee reimbursements.
· Updates and maintains master table for pay rates (per bargaining
guidelines) for respective client group.
· Coordinates with various departments (Corp. Payroll, Disability
Management Group, Corp. Disability, etc.) to resolve employee
time/pay issues and tracking status of disability cases as required.
Manages short term employee disability time coding.
· Maintains materials to document payroll policy, procedures and local
practices in compliance with record retention policy.
· Updates and maintains accuracy of the section seniority lists for
respective unions.
· Assist with data maintenance responsibilities including, but not limited
to, Workday and MSS transactions and reporting needs. Coordinate
and communicate with business and HRBP as needed.
· Administrator and primary contact for U-time database.
· Update the HR legal board (both online and hard copy) when
necessary using Microsoft Expressions Web.
· Provide administrative and other support to HR team as required.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

· Intermediate/advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and
Outlook.
· Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and contribute
as a team player.
· Communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with all levels of
employees and managers.
· Strong attention to detail; ability to multitask and produce high quality
output with minimal errors in appropriate timeframes.
· Demonstrated trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.

High School Diploma OR GED required

Preferred Skills:

· Experience with SAP and Workday for time & pay. Familiarity with
state and federal wage and hour law and regulations.
· One year experience in a refinery or related industrial environment.
· Experience working in a represented union labor environment.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Please Note:

Must have a valid driver’s license and current state-required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
