Position Summary:
The CMM Programmer takes ownership of the performance of the CMM area, including ensuring reliable inspection results in a timely manner and proper upkeep of the area and equipment, with minimum supervision. The role requires a strong partnership with quality team members, operations, and engineering.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Willing to learn how to operate within Calypso software - must be computer savvy
• Willing to operate a crane to load and unload hardware
• Willing to learn how to operate a hand-held CMM - attend training as needed
• Ability to learn how to set up and perform CMM operations
• Knowledge, skill, and ability to perform visual inspection, as well as work with inspection equipment (i.e., comparators, micrometers, etc.) based on work instruction and specification requirements
• Willingness to perform other related job tasks to support the value stream
• Willing to support occasional overtime as workload dictates
• Support receiving and final inspection duties, as required
• Maintain a clean and well-organized work area
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
• May be required to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Utilize good verbal and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills and willingness to work effectively as a participative team member
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to pass a vision exam
• Prior CMM experience *is preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $20-$30 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
