Plans, lays outs, draws, and revises part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, notes and discussions with engineers, and standard data.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or manual tools. Completes layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices or may develop complete major layouts of engineering drawings. Within parameters determines scaling required; inserts necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning; prepares specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations; prepares complete production detail drawings; contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations. Requires competency in CATIA V5, MPRSII/EDFS, and Parts Warehouse engineering applications.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Required Skills:
CATIA V5
experience with engineering release application software
any previous experience with MPRSII/EDFS is highly desired but not required
Main function of position will be creating drawings from 3D models/designs. Possible manipulation of existing 3D models. Not the right position for someone who is looking to do design.
Drafting: 2 - 4 Years
Software Skills: Catia: 2 - 4 Years
Level 3: BS+9-15 YRS or MS+7-13 YRS
Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $40.00-50.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
Please Note:
Must have a valid driver’s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
