Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as racks, cables, and various ground support equipment. Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written work instructions. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test deliverable, experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications. Potential Contract-to-Permanent Hire
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Typical Minimums : High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks and 1 Year of experience
Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
• Experience with mechanical/electrical fabrication; cable and connector assembly.
• Possess the skills and experience in the use of a variety of tools and materials related to electrical cable/wire harness fabrication and/or basic mechanical assembly experience.
• Conduct basic math and use computers at a basic level.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and define the manufacturing steps to meet all requirements.
• Ability to decipher and follow various engineering specifications.
• Able to comprehend and follow work instructions.
Desired skills:
• Prior experience/certifications related to the specific job description (IPC J-STD-001 with Space Addendum, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620 and/or IPC 7711/7721).
• IPC 610 (J-STD) Soldering
• IPC 620 Cable Harness Fabrication
• Basic knowledge of test equipment (DITMO, O-scope, etc.)
• Experience and understanding of building deliverable hardware built to military specifications.
Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $24.00-26.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
Please Note:
Must have a valid driver’s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
